The Best Friends™ Approach

At Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods, we employ the Best Friends™ Approach to Memory Care, which is an internationally recognized model of care that is designed to create the best possible days for our residents.

At the core of The Best Friends™ Approach is the understanding that relationships are vital in dementia care. Our experienced staff and volunteers are extensively trained in Best Friends™ this unique model of care. They work individually with residents to learn their life stories and essentially become their “Best Friends." Our team members know how to emphasize our residents' strengths and abilities, encourage them to participate in meaningful and fun activities and spend days together that are positive, upbeat and life-affirming.
